Tips for "Do-it-Yourselfers"
For those who want to do their own research, the internet is also a vast source of information. A good rule of thumb is to find 3 or more examples of the item you are researching to get a general idea of the current value of your item. This is usually a better choice if the items are items you are researching are generally available online. This method also works offline by frequenting shops, auctions, etc that might carry similar items. We are aware that many of our visitors might use our online shop to research some of the collectibles they own, and for personal research that is fine. We are often asked by visitors about the value of other items they own, or if their items are not considered collectible since we do not carry them. We carry a few hundred of the tens of thousands of Avon Collectibles that were ever produced, so while you might by chance find an item you are researching in our store or elsewhere online, you also might not. Most items however will eventually be found somewhere online for diligent researchers.
We are also researching some of the paid online resources, and will add information here as it becomes available.
